Liverpool Identify This Ligue 1 Winger As A Target: Should Slot Move In For Him?

In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Liverpool have identified Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche as a target. It is understood that the Reds are eyeing a move to sign the French wide player as they look to find a replacement for Mohamed Salah this summer.

Akliouche’s Impressive Form In French Football

Akliouche is having an impressive campaign at the French club after he put in a string of impressive displays for them on the right flank. The 24-year-old has scored seven goals and grabbed 11 assists in 43 matches for Monaco this season on all fronts.

The French talent is currently among the best wingers in Ligue 1. Hence, Liverpool would do well to get a deal done for him at the end of this campaign.

His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Reds to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Move In For Akliouche?

Akliouche is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.

The French sensation can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. Akliouche is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as an attacking midfielder if told to do so by his manager. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League.

We can expect Akliouche to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s backline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming seasons.

At 24, Akliouche has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Reds to pursue this summer. He might even help Liverpool compete for some major trophies in the future. Therefore, it is only logical for Slot to move in for Akliouche in this summer transfer period.
