Tottenham Hotspur Are Genuine Contenders For This On-Loan Barcelona Winger: Decent Fit For Spurs?

In a recent report, Sport mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are genuine contenders for on-loan Barcelona winger Marcus Rashford. It has been revealed that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring the English talent, who is playing on loan from Manchester United, to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Rashford’s Impressive Form In La Liga

Rashford has enjoyed a decent loan spell at the Catalan club after he put in a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 28-year-old has scored 13 goals and earned 13 assists in 45 matches for Barcelona this season in all competitions.

The English talent has managed to prove his worth at times with his performances in La Liga this season. Therefore, it is no surprise that Spurs are showing interest in recruiting him later this year.

His current contract at his parent club, Man United, will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Will Rashford Be A Good Fit For Tottenham Hotspur?

Rashford has got the pace to cause some headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can create the odd chance for his teammates in and around the opposition penalty area.

The English sensation is primarily a left-winger but can also function as a right-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if told to do so. He has already got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham.

We can expect Rashford to inject more firepower into Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular starting role at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming seasons.

At 28, Rashford is about to enter his prime, which makes him a decent fit for the North London club’s needs in the short term. He is good enough to help Tottenham compete for a European place in the Premier League over the next few years. With all things considered, De Zerbi would be wise to go all out to get a deal done for Rashford at the end of this campaign.
