In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid are locked in a three-way battle for Real Sociedad full-back Jon Aramburu. It has been stated that Los Blancos would have to rival Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan in the race to land the Venezuelan full-back.
Aramburu’s Impressive Form In Spanish Football
Aramburu has made a solid start to this campaign as he put in a string of impressive performances for Real Sociedad on the defensive third of the pitch. The Venezuelan talent has made 11 appearances for the Spanish club this season on all fronts.
The 22-year-old has been a good performer when defending inside his half based on his average of 3.1 tackles, 0.6 interceptions, 2.8 clearances and 0.9 key passes per 90 minutes in La Liga. He was even accurate when distributing the ball from the right flank after making 83.4% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Spanish club will run out in the summer of 2027 which could make it difficult for Real Madrid to sign him on the cheap next year.
Is Aramburu A Good Choice For Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?
Aramburu is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer of the ball.
The Venezuelan sensation can create the odd chance for his teammates from the right flank. He mainly operates as a right-back but can also serve as a central defender or play in the left-back position if told to do so by his manager.
Aramburu has already got some experience in La Liga and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Real Madrid if Carlo Ancelotti can devise a way to get him on board next year. He would bring more quality to Los Blancos’ defensive department.
At 22, the future looks quite promising for Aramburu as long as he continues to mature as a footballer with each year. Hence, he would be an excellent choice for the Madrid giants to pursue in the long run.
