West Ham United looked shaky in their games prior to the international break. Hopefully, they have worked in the background to fix the shortcomings and will be able to put on better displays on the pitch from now onwards.
The Hammers will lock horns with Newcastle United in the Premier League this Sunday. They are with 12 points on the table after 11 rounds of play. It will be a tough game against the Magpies considering the recent forms of both sides.
4-1-4-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup Vs Newcastle United
Defence
Alphonse Areola couldn’t play the previous game due to a knock and is expected to be at risk for this game too. Lukasz Fabianski did well in the former’s absence and his inclusion is almost inevitable.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka retains his spot as the right-back in the lineup. Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo should continue at the heart of the defence. However, the duo needs to step up and contribute more significantly.
Emerson Palmieri is also a certain pick for the left-back role.
Midfield
Edson Alvarez is back after serving a ban and his inclusion as the deep-lying midfielder should come at the expense of Guido Rodriguez.
Alvarez will enjoy the company of Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta in the middle of the park.
Attack
Mohammed Kudus is suspended for this fixture and in his absence, Crysencio Summerville is likely to take up the duties on the left flank. Jarrod Bowen will continue his operations on the right wing but he needs to do more for sure.
All the above-mentioned names will have the service of Michail Antonio in the striker role.
Niclas Fullkrug (calf) is a confirmed absentee while manager Julen Lopetegui hinted at the unavailability of a couple of unnamed players in the press conference.
