After a thumping victory against Leicester City in the EFL Cup by 5-2, Manchester United extracted a draw against Chelsea in the Premier League. Hosting the game, the home side couldn’t overpower the visitors and settled for a point in the end.
The Red Devils are still in the bottom half on the points table and need to step up before it’s too late. It will be interesting to see how they show up in the Europa League fixture this midweek.
Manchester United Player Ratings vs Chelsea:
Andre Onana (GK) – 5/10
Couldn’t have done much to stop that goal. Apart from that, wasn’t good enough with his distributions.
Matthijs de Ligt (CB) – 6/10
Though he did decently well, he was still far away from impacting the game.
Lisandro Martinez (CB) – 7/10
Made some good blocks and interceptions to keep the Chelsea attackers in check. As usual, he was good with the ball at his feet.p
Diogo Dalot (RB) – 4/10
Poor performance considering he was playing in his natural position. Should’ve done much better today.
Noussair Mazraoui (LB) – 7/10
An impressive game overall. Made good defensive tackles and was also combining well going higher up on the pitch.
Manuel Ugarte (CB) – 4/10
Poor display of football to be honest. He needs to do much better considering his price tag and expectations.
Casemiro (CM) – 6/10
A decent outing for Casemiro but was unlucky that his header turned out to be a setup for Chelsea’s only goal.
Bruno Fernandes (AM) – 6/10
Scored the penalty to provide Manchester United the lead. Apart from that, he was wasteful with the possession and made poor decisions in the final third.
Marcus Rashford (RW) – 7/10
Looked like a real threat on multiple occasions and was close to scoring a banger.
Alejandro Garnacho (LW) – 4/10
Worked hard throughout the game but didn’t prove to be productive. Had multiple chances and should’ve buried at least a couple.
Rasmus Hojlund (CF) – 6/10
Won the penalty for his team but apart from that, really struggled to make a positive impact on the game.
