Arsenal entertained Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Gunners made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the ninth minute when Bukayo Saka scored with a good finish. However, Virgil Van Dijk equalised for the visitors in the 18th minute before Mikel Merino restored Arsenal’s lead in the 43rd minute. The North London club went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.
Mikel Arteta‘s men defended valiantly in the second half but conceded the equaliser in the 81st minute when Mohamed Salah got his name on the scoresheet. The contest finished with Arsenal being held to an entertaining 2-2 draw in front of their home fans.

Rice anchored the midfield with conviction and made two decent chances in the final third. He ended the game with an assist to his name.
CM: Mikel Merino – 7/10
He caused some headaches for the Liverpool defenders and managed to give Arsenal the lead just before the half-time break.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 6.5/10
Martinelli made a couple of good runs with the ball but there was no goal for him.
ST: Kai Havertz – 6.5/10
He created two inviting chances for others around him but failed to threaten the opponent’s goal.
