Manchester United will face off against Fenerbahce at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium this Thursday as they hope to secure a good result on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Red Devils managed to secure a hard-fought 2-1 win over Brentford recently which should keep them in high spirits ahead of this clash in midweek.
Erik ten Hag will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Noussair Mazraoui, Manuel Ugarte and Joshua Zirkzee could get a chance to impress from the start of this contest.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Fenerbahce
Defence
Andre Onana will feature in goal for the Mancunian club after conceding one goal in his last outing. Matthijs de Ligt will function alongside Lisandro Martinez as they look to maintain a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.
Noussair Mazraoui will hope to impress as the right-back while Diogo Dalot looks to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Manuel Ugarte will anchor the midfield along with Christian Eriksen as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Marcus Rashford, Joshua Zirkzee and Alejandro Garnacho will play just ahead of them as part of the Man United attack. All three of them have to move the ball well so that they can cause some problems for the Fenerbahce defenders this Thursday.
Amad Diallo and Antony will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if ten Hag opts to call upon their services.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line for the Mancunian club on the offensive end of the field. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in and around the opponent’s penalty box.
Bruno Fernandes is expected to be rested on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.
