Who is Julio Soler?
Julio Soler is one of the highly-rated youngsters coming out of Argentina. He came through the ranks of Lanus and has established himself as a mainstay in the squad. He is featuring regularly and showing promising signs in the early days.
Soler made an appearance in 34 games last season, resulting in over 2750 minutes. In these many games, though he scored no goal but provided two assists.
The Argentine left-back has an attacking style of play similar to Andrew Robertson. The former has quick feet, dribbling skills, and accurate passing abilities. He is also decent in the defensive traits though he can still improve a bit.
Is Julio Soler the solution to Manchester United’s problem?
Manchester United have two notable left-backs in the form of Luke Shaw and Tyrel Malacia. However, they have been struggling with recurring injuries and their availability is always under the radar. Due to their absense, Erik ten Hag had to play Lisandro Martinez as the left-back in one of the games recently.
Hence, the Dutch manager wants to bring a natural left-back to help the side. While it will be difficult to sign a notable name in the January window, an underrated name like Julio Soler can be a good fit.
Soler has shown impressive displays and he has the potential to play for a big club like Manchester United in the long run. The youngster could be signed for somewhere around £15 million, which makes complete sense for the English giants. The Argentine can be a long-term investment and justify the price tag with ease.
