Manchester United will entertain Brentford at Old Trafford this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils were held to a lackluster 0-0 draw away at Aston Villa before the international break, so they would be desperate to pick up all three points this weekend.
Erik ten Hag will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his starting XI for this game. Amad Diallo, Victor Lindelof and Casemiro will all play from the start of this clash.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Andre Onana will play in between the sticks for the Mancunian club after keeping a clean sheet in his last league appearance. Jonny Evans will resume his partnership with Matthijs de Ligt at the centre of Man United’s backline as they look to maintain a good defensive shape at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Victor Lindelof will fill in as the right-back while Diogo Dalot hopes to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack this Saturday afternoon.
Both Harry Maguire and Noussair Mazraoui are major concerns ahead of this game. However, Lisandro Martinez will be available for a place on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive partnership.
Midfield
Casemiro and Christian Eriksen will operate as the holding midfielders as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo will function just ahead of them as part of the Man United attack. All three of them need to combine well if they want to cause some problems for the Brentford centre-backs this weekend.
Kobbie Mainoo will be in a race against time to be fit for this contest. However, Antony would be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the charge for the Mancunian club in the final third. He has to figure out a way to be a constant menace on the offensive end of the field.
Joshua Zirkzee will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter if required.
