Arsenal clashed heads with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Gunners made a sloppy start to the game as they conceded the opener in the ninth minute when Erling Haaland found the back of the net. However, Riccardo Calafiori equalised for the visitors in the 22nd minute when he scored with an excellent strike from outside the penalty box.
Mikel Arteta‘s men took the lead in the first half injury-time thanks to Gabriel’s header from point-blank range. However, Leandro Trossard was sent off by the referee soon after as Arsenal went into the half-time interval 2-1 up on the scoreline.
The ten-men of Arsenal defended valiantly in the second half but conceded in injury time when John Stones got his name on the scoresheet. The match finished with the North London club earning a hard-fought 2-2 draw away from home.
