Now that we’re done with the international break, club football will be back in action! Arsenal are preparing to travel away to face Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday. It will be an interesting and mouth-watering tie to watch for all the fans.
The Gunners dropped two vital points in their last game against Brighton. With two wins and one draw in three games, they are sitting at number four in the domestic points table. They will be desperate to collect all three points but it will be a tough challenge for them.
4-2-3-1 Arsenal Predicted Lineup vs Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
David Raya did a brilliant job in the previous game before the international break. He is set to take charge between the sticks once again. Ben White wasn’t convincing against Brighton but is expected to start as the right-back.
The centre-back duo of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes should remain intact. They will have an important role to play this weekend. Jurrien Timber continues to play as the left-back in the lineup.
Midfield
Arsenal will be operating without Declan Rice, who is suspended for this tie after picking up a red card in the previous game. While Martin Odegaard suffered an ankle injury, Riccardo Calafiori had issues in his calf. It means Mikel Arteta will be short of options in the midfield.
Jorginho and Thomas Partey are likely to take load of the midfield duties with Kai Havertz operating as an attacking midfielder. The latter can contribute in both aspects and provide a bridge between the midfield and the offensive line.
Attack
Bukayo Saka remains untouchable at the right wing but Gabriel Martinelli is likely to walk into the XI replacing Leandro Trossard at the left flank. The Gunners will also be delighted with the return of Gabriel Jesus, who missed the last two games due to a groin injury.
