West Ham United will entertain Aston Villa at the London Stadium this Saturday evening as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Hammers would be eager to make a winning start to this campaign versus the Villans this weekend.
Julen Lopetegui will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to name a strong first XI for this clash. Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus will play from the start of this game against Unai Emery’s men.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Aston Villa
Defence
Alphonse Areola will function in goal for West Ham as he looks to secure a clean sheet at the London Stadium this weekend. Konstantinos Mavropanos will operate alongside Max Kilman at the centre of Lopetegui’s defence as they focus on keeping a solid shape at the back during the 90 minutes.
Vladimir Coufal will fill in as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri hopes to catch the eye as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Aaron Cresswell will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Alvaro Rodriguez and Tomas Soucek will anchor the midfield for the Hammers as they try to make life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen will play just ahead of them as part of Lopetegui’s attack. All three of them need to combine well if they are to cause problems for the Aston Villa defenders this weekend.
James Ward-Prowse will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed. However, Edson Alvarez is unlikely to recover in time for this clash.
Attack
Michail Antonio will lead the line for the East London club in the final third. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in and around the opponent’s penalty area.
Luis Guilherme will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the final quarter of the contest if West Ham are in need of a goal by then.
