In a recent report, Mundo Deportivo mentioned that Barcelona have received a massive offer for Raphinha this summer. It is understood that the Catalan club have received a €65m offer from an undisclosed club from Saudi Arabia for the Brazilian winger.
Raphinha’s Decent Record In La Liga Football
The 27-year-old proved his worth as a consistent performer for Barca in the previous campaign when he produced a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. Raphinha scored ten times and picked up 13 assists in 37 appearances for the Catalan outfit last season across all fronts.
The Brazil international was a reliable presence in the opposition half as he averaged 2.1 shots, 1.5 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He even distributed the ball accurately based on his pass success rate of 80.9% in the Spanish top flight (stats via whoscored).
Raphinha’s current contract at the Nou Camp will expire in the summer of 2027, so Barca boss Hansi Flick is under no pressure to let him go this off-season. However, he might consider accepting the €65m offer which would help the Catalan club make some marquee acquisitions before the end of this summer transfer period.
Should Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick Cash In On Raphinha?
Raphinha can use his quickness to leave his marker to bite the dust out on the flanks. He can strike the ball with venom and precision from long range. The Brazilian sensation can also engineer some inviting chances for his teammates up top and can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas. He mainly operates as a right-sided wide player but can also function as a left-winger if asked to do so.
Raphinha remains a valuable member of Barcelona‘s squad. However, Hansi Flick needs to raise funds if he wants to complete some incoming transfers this summer. Thus, it makes sense financially for Barca to cash in on Raphinha and use the funds to strengthen their squad this off-season.
Another option for the Catalan giants would be to keep hold of the Brazilian wing wizard beyond this summer as he could help them compete for some major honours over the next few years.
