Barcelona will face off against Girona at the Estadi Montilivi this Saturday as they look to secure all three points on the road in La Liga. The Catalan club managed to secure a dominant 4-2 win over Valencia recently which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Xavi will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and could make one tweak to his first XI for this game. Pedri will get a chance to impress from the start of this contest while Fermin Lopez makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Girona
Defence
Marc-Andre ter Stegen will play in goal for the Catalan club after conceding a couple of goals in his last league outing. Ronald Araujo will continue to function alongside Pau Cubarsi at the centre of the Barcelona backline as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Jules Kounde will fill in as the right-back while Joao Cancelo hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Inigo Martinez and Hector Fort will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Andreas Christensen, Ilkay Gundogan and Pedri will make up Barca’s midfield as they focus on establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if Barca want to engineer enough clear-cut chances to win his clash at the Estadi Montilivi.
Sergi Roberto will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Raphinha will try to impress on the left flank while Lamine Yamal looks to give a good account of himself on the right flank. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the Catalan club on the offensive end of the field.
Joao Felix will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if Barca are in need of a goal by then.
