After a series of dismal performances, Manchester United finally returned to winning ways as they beat Newcastle United by 3-2. They will now travel to Falmer Stadium to face Brighton on Sunday, which will be their last league game of the ongoing campaign.
Though a win will not have any high significance in terms of position on the points table, the Red Devils need it more than ever. A clinical display will boost their morale to fight well against Manchester City in the FA Cup final, which is just a week away.
4-2-1-3 Manchester United Predicted Lineup Vs Brighton
Defence
Andre Onana had a decent outing against Newcastle United. He will be operating between the sticks again and will keep a clean sheet. Right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka struggled a bit on Thursday night but that shouldn’t be keeping him away from starting this game.
Jonny Evans is likely to continue in the centre of the defence. However, it will be interesting to see if Erik ten Hag will risk Lisandro Martinez or not. The Argentine defender made his return after a long injury and could walk into the XI in place of Casemiro. The left-back position remains secured for Diogo Dalot for now.
Midfield
Kobbie Mainoo had an amazing outing in his last game and is a certain pick in the midfield. Expect Sofyan Amrabat to partner up with the youngster. Skipper Bruno Fernandes is likely to operate in the middle to contribute in both aspects.
It also means Scott McTominay will have to start on the bench.
Attack
Amad Diallo got a standing ovation while coming off for his spectacular performance against the Magpies. No doubt, he has earned another start in the lineup. Marcus Rashford has also recovered and might get a go in this game.
Rasmus Hojlund should be returning to the XI as he scored a brilliant goal after coming off the bench.
