Manchester City are keen on signing Gremio starlet Gustavo Nunes in the summer transfer window, as per The Mail. The Premier League club believe in the youngster’s abilities and wish to invest early to get the dividends later.
Gustavo Nunes is a promising talent
Gustavo Nunes came through the ranks of Gremio‘s youth academy and worked hard to climb the ladders. He is one of the most promising talents and has already made his senior team debut. He operates on the left wing just like Neymar.
The young prodigy has appeared in 19 games this season and has netted four goals and as many assists. He has good pace and incredible dribbling skills, which helps him in creating threats in the final third. Having played enough futsal competitions, his close range is also superb.
Nunes has developed himself physically by playing with players above his age group. He is still just 18 years old, meaning he will hit his peak in the coming years and has a lot of room for improvement. If nourished well, he can turn into a beast player.
Manchester City are ready to meet Gremio’s demands
Manchester City have been active in identifying and recruiting emerging talents over the past decade. Apart from buying mature players, they also believe in working with young blood and helping them transfer into world-class performers.
The Citizens are firmly confident in Gustavo Nunes’ talent and want to add him to their ranks. However, the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Wolves and Norwich are also keeping tabs on the player. Manchester United even sent their scouts to watch the Brazilian play against Huachipato.
Gremio don’t want to lose their hot property and hence, they tied him with a contract until 2028. The Brazilian side will not demand anything less than £18million. The English club are willing the match the offer and are leading the race as per reports.
