Liverpool faced off against Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Reds made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the seventh minute when Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot. Jurgen Klopp‘s men controlled the game well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
The Merseyside club were lackluster in the second 45 minutes and settled for a narrow 1-0 win away from home. However, the Reds ended up losing the tie by a 3-1 margin which knocked them out of the Europa League.
