Newcastle United will travel to Craven Cottage to face their next opponent, Fulham, in the Premier League this weekend. They will head into the game after a 1-1 draw against Everton. Both sides will play for pride as they don’t have much to gain in the domestic league.
The Magpies are eight in the points table, with 44 points after 30 rounds of play. They can utilize this opportunity to identify the key players for next season and also provide opportunities to young buds. Hopefully, with some recruitment in the summer, they will be able to perform better in the next campaign.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup Vs Fulham
Defence
Martin Dubravka will be the man with the gloves for Newcastle United. He looked a bit underconfident in the previous game and should try to overcome that. He surely has the potential to do a lot better. Right-back Emil Krafth got his first domestic league start in two years but merely impressed. However, he is likely to retain his spot in the side.
Fabian Schar and Dan Burn form the heart of the defence. While the latter was good enough, the former had a dismal game against Everton and should immediately step up his game. No change in the left-back spot as Lewis Hall is likely to participate despite being taken off in the second half.
Midfield
Expect Joe Willock to walk into the XI and replace Elliot Anderson. He will join the likes of Bruno Guimaraes and Sean Longstaff in the midfield and will be expected to leave an impact on the game.
Attack
Eddie Howe has to pick one between Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon for the left-wing position. On the other side, Alexander Isak and Harvey Barnes are continuing their respective positions in the starting XI.
A lot of absentees for Magpies in the form of Lewis Miley (back), Callum Wilson (chest), Nick Pope (shoulder), Miguel Almiron (knee), Valentino Livramento (ankle), Joelinton (thigh), Kieran Trippier (calf), Matt Targett (Achilles), Sven Botman (ACL), and Jamaal Lascelles (ACL).
