Everton are preparing to host Nottingham Forest at home in the Premier League this weekend. The former side faced a humiliating 6-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in their last game. They must find a way to lift themselves and get into winning ways.
The Toffees are 16th in the domestic points table, just two positions above the relegation zone. The Garibaldis are also fighting to stay alive in the competition and are in 17th position. Hence, a win for Everton on Sunday will help them a lot.
4-4-2 Everton Predicted Lineup Vs Nottingham Forest
Defence
Jordan Pickford showcased one of his worst performances against Chelsea. However, he is likely to continue to be the man with gloves for Everton. Seamus Coleman suffered a blow in the previous game and his availability has come under scrutiny. Ashley Young is expected to start as the right-back.
Centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite also got injured against the Blues and is unlikely to start. Michael Keane should be lining up with James Tarkowski to form the heart of the defence. No change at the left-back position as Vitaliy Mykolenko continues to operate there.
Midfield
While Amadou Onana remains a pick in the midfield, James Garner could face the heat. Andre Gomes is expected to get the nod ahead of him.
Dwight McNeil will be deployed on the left wing while Jack Harrison should walk into the XI to play on the right flank.
Attack
Abdoulaye Doucoure to remain as an attacking midfielder in the lineup. He will be key in linking up the midfielder with the offensive line.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has recovered from a hamstring injury and returned to training. Hence, he should be starting the game as the striker benching Beto.
Dele Alli (groin) and Lewis Dobbin (ankle) are confirmed to miss the game. Idrissa Gueye (calf) and Nathan Patterson (hamstring) will be assessed before taking the final call.
