Manchester United welcomed Liverpool at Old Trafford earlier this evening as they looked to earn a win at home in the FA Cup. The Red Devils made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the tenth minute via Scott McTominay’s effort. However, Liverpool equalised in the 44th minute when Alexis Mac Allister found the back of the net. Mohamed Salah put his team ahead in injury time as Man United went into the half-time interval 2-1 down on the scoreline.
Antony equalised for the Red Devils in the 87th minute which took the contest to extra-time. However, Harvey Elliott restored Liverpool’s lead in the 105th minute when he scored with a deflected strike.
Erik ten Hag’s men refused to give up and equalised in the 112th minute thanks to Marcus Rashford‘s finish. Amad Diallo won the game for the Red Devils when he scored in injury time. The contest finished 4-3 in favour of Man United after extra-time.

Mainoo made some important interceptions at the back and completed a few eye-catching dribbles in the Liverpool half.

His pace caused a lot of problems for the opposition defenders. Garnacho ended the game with an assist to his name.

Fernandes caused some headaches for the Liverpool centre-backs but lacked quality in the final third.

Rashford should have won the game for Man United in the latter stages of regulation time but missed the target. However, he made up for his earlier miss by scoring the all-important equaliser in extra time with a calm finish.
