It is understood that the Germany international is facing an uncertain future at the Bavarian club which could open the door for the Reds to sign him later this year.
Kimmich’s Impressive Form In Bundesliga
Kimmich is enjoying a decent campaign at the German club as he has managed to put in a handful of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The German talent has found the back of the net once and secured six assists in 28 appearances for Bayern this season across all fronts.
The 29-year-old has been a positive influence in both halves based on his average of 1.4 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 0.7 clearances, 1.0 shots and 2.4 key passes per 90 minutes in Bundesliga. He has even been accurate with his ball distribution after making 91.3% of his attempted passes in the German first division (stats via whoscored).
Kimmich’s current contract at the German club will run out at the end of next season. Hence, Liverpool could potentially recruit him on a cut-price deal in the summer transfer period.
