Newcastle United will face off against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this Saturday night as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies were held to a 2-2 draw by Bournemouth recently, so they would be eager to put in a good showing in North London this weekend.
Eddie Howe will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make one tweak to his first XI for this game. Jacob Murphy will get a chance to impress from the start of this clash at the Emirates.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal
Defence
Martin Dubravka will feature in between the sticks for the Tyneside club after shipping in a couple of goals in his last outing. Fabian Schar will operate alongside Sven Botman at the heart of the Newcastle backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers quiet during the 90 minutes.
Kieran Trippier will feature as the right-back while Dan Burn looks to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Jamaal Lascelles will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Lewis Miley, Bruno Guimaraes and Sean Longstaff will make up Howe’s midfield as they focus on making life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if Newcastle want to secure a result this weekend.
Matt Ritchie will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Jacob Murphy will try to catch the eye on the left flank while Miguel Almiron hopes to impress as the right-winger. Anthony Gordon will operate as Newcastle’s centre-forward up top. He has to figure out a way to threaten the Arsenal goal this weekend.
Lewis Hall and Harvey Barnes will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the latter stages of the game if the Magpies are in need of a goal by then.
