In a recent report, The Evening Standard stated that Liverpool are keeping tabs on Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo. It has been claimed that the Reds are monitoring the progress of the English centre-back who is on an expiring contract at Craven Cottage.
Adarabioyo’s Impressive Form At Craven Cottage
Adarabioyo has enjoyed a solid campaign at the London club as he has put in a series of impressive performances for them on the defensive third of the pitch. The 26-year-old has made 16 appearances for Fulham this season, scoring one goal across all fronts.
The English sensation has been a decent performer at the back based on his average of 0.8 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 4.3 clearances per game in the Premier League. He has even been tidy when distributing possession from inside his half, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 84.4% in the English top flight (stats via whoscored).
As mentioned earlier, Adarabioyo’s current contract at the London club will run out at the end of this campaign which could open the door for the Reds to sign him on a free transfer next summer.
Is Adarabioyo A Good Choice For Liverpool?
Adarabioyo is a tough-tackling defender who can time his challenges well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t hesitate to clear his lines when at risk of being caught out at the back.
Standing at 1.96m, the English talent can use his strong frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air and is even proficient at playing his way out from inside his half. At the moment, he is enjoying his football at Fulham. However, Liverpool could potentially sign him on a free transfer next summer.
We can expect Adarabioyo to bring more bite and steel to the Merseyside club. He is good enough to earn a regular starting spot at Anfield in the coming seasons. At 26, Adarabioyo is about to enter his prime soon which makes him an excellent choice for the Reds to pursue later this year. He has already proven his worth in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Merseyside if Liverpool can find a way to bring him on board at the end of this campaign.
