Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool in the summer, according to Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson, who knows where he will go next. Liverpool fans are upset since they recently learned that Jurgen Klopp would leaving after this season. If Salah leaves, Liverpool’s chances of winning next season may suffer, and Lawrenson is concerned about this.
Mark Lawrenson on Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah’s contract at Liverpool lasts until the summer of 2025. Since manager Jurgen Klopp is leaving, people think Salah might leave too. Liverpool legend Lawrenson thinks Salah will leave the team and join a club in the Saudi Pro League.
Salah has been insane for the Reds since he came in 2017, scoring 205 goals and making 89 assists in 333 games. Last summer he almost went to play for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. They offered a huge amount of money, £200 million, but Liverpool said no to keep their star player. Still, Lawrenson thinks Salah will leave Liverpool at the end of this season.
“100 per cent, Mo Salah will definitely leave this summer. No matter what happens this season – I think there was a deal last summer. He’ll go and play somewhere like Saudi Arabia, and, hopefully, Liverpool get a massive fee and get a couple of players off the back of it. Salah will be a king in Saudi,” Lawrenson said to Paddy Power.

Lawrenson said Liverpool will still have many good players in their attack even if Salah leaves. But he also thinks they might need to get another player to replace Salah and score goals for the team.
“You can see that Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz like playing with each other and they all scored a goal against Burnley, even Nunez! When Mo Salah goes, and I think he will go, Liverpool might go and get a few more players for those positions,” he added.
Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League after playing 25 games. They’re two points ahead of Arsenal, who are in second place with 55 points.
