Aston Villa entertained Newcastle United at Villa Park earlier tonight as they looked to secure a victory at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 32nd minute when Fabian Schar found the back of the net. Schar doubled his team’s lead just four minutes later as Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.
Alex Moreno scored an unfortunate own goal in the 52nd minute which left the home team with a mountain to climb. Ollie Watkins grabbed a consolation goal in the 71st minute as the West Midlands club crashed to a lackluster 3-1 loss in front of their home fans.

Kamara struggled to get a foothold in the game and produced a disjointed display in the middle of the park.

Luiz earned possession back once and made two inviting chances in the final third.
