Newcastle United clashed heads with Aston Villa at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies made a bright start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 32nd minute when Fabian Schar got his name on the scoresheet. Schar doubled Newcastle’s advantage just four minutes later as Eddie Howe’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.
The Tyneside club found themselves 3-0 up after Alex Moreno scored an unfortunate own goal in the 52nd minute. Ollie Watkins scored a consolation goal for the home team in the 71st minute as Newcastle secured a brilliant 3-1 win at Villa Park.

He put his foot through the ball when needed and managed to score two crucial goals for Newcastle in the first half. Schar deserves to be named the man of the match.

Botman kept things solid at the back but failed to secure a clean sheet.

Burn didn’t put a foot wrong when defending inside his half but offered very little going forward.

He caught the eye at times but failed to make a difference at the centre of the park.

The Brazilian talent was a positive influence at both ends of the field.

Miley made life tough for the opposition but failed to be decisive in the final third.

He had a few bright moments in the Aston Villa half but didn’t do enough to score a goal.

Isak began the game well but had to be substituted in the 42nd minute.
