Everton locked horns with Fulham at Craven Cottage earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Toffees made a solid start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
The two teams cancelled each other out in the second 45 minutes as Sean Dyche’s men were held to a scoreless draw away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Everton player fared during the match against Fulham.
GK: Jordan Pickford – 7.5/10
The English keeper made a lot of important saves at the back and earned a well-deserved clean sheet tonight.
RB: Ben Godfrey – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well and was strong in the air. Godfrey was also a threat going forward.
CB: James Tarkowski – 8/10
Tarkowski cleared the danger when he could and was good on the ball. He did enough to limit the opposition from scoring and deserves to be named the man of the match.
CB: Jarrad Branthwaite – 7/10
He gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.
LB: Vitaliy Mykolenko – 7/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.
RM: Ashley Young – 7/10
Young worked his socks off in both halves but was a bit wasteful with his passing. He was replaced in the 80th minute.
CM: Dwight McNeil – 6.5/10
He made one good chance in the opponent’s half but lacked quality in front of goal.
CM: James Garner – 7.5/10
Garner did his fair share of defending and was positive with the ball at his feet.
LM: Arnaut Danjuma – 6.5/10
He made one decent run with the ball but failed to trouble the Fulham keeper.
CAM: Jack Harrison – 6.5/10
Harrison caused some problems for the opposition defenders but never looked like he would score.
ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 7/10
The English forward was not shy of having a strike at goal and managed to engineer a couple of meaningful openings for others around him.
Substitutes:
RB: Nathan Patterson – 6.5/10
He was solid at the back.
CM: Lewis Dobbin – N/A
ST: Beto – N/A
