Liverpool will entertain Chelsea at Anfield this Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to earn a dominant 5-2 win over Norwich City in the FA Cup recently which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Jurgen Klopp will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first XI for this match. Alexis Mac Allister, Virgil Van Dijk and Andrew Robertson could all play from the start of this contest.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Chelsea
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Reds after shipping in a couple of goals in his last outing. Virgil Van Dijk will resume his partnership with Ibrahima Konate at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they try to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will probably get a chance to shine as the right-back while Andrew Robertson hopes to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Klopp will give both of them the license to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Curtis Jones, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai will look to give a good account of themselves for Liverpool at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Ryan Gravenberch and Harvey Elliott will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Luis Diaz will hope to stretch the Chelsea defence on the left flank while Diogo Jota gets an opportunity to shine on the right-wing. Darwin Nunez will lead the charge for the Merseyside club down the middle.
Cody Gakpo will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
