Manchester United will clash heads with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this Saturday evening as they try to secure a good result away from home in the Premier League. The Red Devils managed to earn an impressive 3-2 win over Aston Villa recently which should give them some confidence going into this game.
Erik ten Hag will stick with his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation and could make one tweak to his first team for this game. Scott McTominay could get a chance to play from the start of this contest while Christian Eriksen makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Nottingham Forest
Defence
Andre Onana will function in between the sticks for the Red Devils after shipping in two goals in his last league appearance. Raphael Varane will operate alongside Jonny Evans at the centre of ten Hag’s defence as they try to keep the opposition attackers frustrated during the 90 minutes.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will continue to play as the right-back while Diogo Dalot looks to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will be instructed to perform their defensive duties well and offer some good service to the front players.
Sergio Reguilon will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Scott McTominay and Kobbie Mainoo will operate as the holding midfielders for Man United as they focus on winning the 50-50 duels at the centre of the park. Marcus Rashford will try to impress as the left-winger while Alejandro Garnacho looks to make a difference from the right flank after scoring twice versus Aston Villa in midweek.
Bruno Fernandes will play in the number ten position and is expected to carry most of the creative burden for his team in the final third.
Antony will be named on the bench as he awaits his opportunity to catch the eye as a second-half substitute if ten Hag opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund will spearhead ten Hag’s attack on the offensive end of the field. He scored the winning goal versus the Villans recently which should keep him in high spirits ahead of this clash at the City Ground.
Anthony Martial will be sidelined for his game due to an illness.
