Everton will face off against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium this Saturday afternoon as they focus on grinding out a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Toffees suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of Manchester City recently, so they would be keen on putting in a much-improved performance this weekend.
Sean Dyche will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation once again and is expected to make one change to his first team for this game. Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the charge for the Merseyside club in the final third.
4-2-3-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Wolves
Defence
Jordan Pickford will operate in between the sticks for Everton after shipping in three goals in his last league outing. Jarrad Branthwaite will continue to play alongside James Tarkowski at the centre of Dyche’s defence as they look to keep the Wolves attackers frustrated throughout the game.
Nathan Patterson will try to produce an energetic performance as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Dyche will ask both of them to keep things solid at the back so that they can restrict the opposition from causing problems from the flanks.
Michael Keane and Ben Godfrey will be named on the bench as they offer cover for the centre-back positions.
Midfield
Amadou Onana will resume his partnership with Andre Gomes in the middle of the park. Both of them would need to move the ball well if they are to create some decent chances in the final third.
Dwight McNeil will look to give a good account of himself on the left flank while Jack Harrison focuses on putting his pace to good use as the right-winger. James Garner will get a chance to impress in the number ten position.
Arnaut Danjuma will have to be content with a place on Dyche’s bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if needed. However, Idrissa Gueye will miss this game due to a calf injury.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the line for the Merseyside outfit up top. He would be eager to impress for the Toffees in the final third after coming off the bench in midweek.
Beto will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if required.
