West Ham United will clash heads with Backa Topola at the TSC Arena this Thursday as they try to secure all three points on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Hammers managed to secure a narrow 2-1 win over Burnley recently which will give them some confidence ahead of this game.
David Moyes will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could keep changes to a minimum for this game. Danny Ings will once again lead the charge for the East London club on the offensive end of the field.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Backa Topola
Defence
Alphonse Areola will feature in goal for the East London club after shipping in one goal in his last outing. Nayef Aguerd will function alongside Kurt Zouma at the centre of West Ham’s defence as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
Vladimir Coufal will fill in as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri hopes to catch the eye as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to get forward and join in on the attack at every opportunity they get.
Aaron Cresswell will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
James Ward-Prowse will anchor the midfield alongside Edson Alvarez as they look to make life tough for the home team in the middle of the park. The gifted trio of Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek and Mohammed Kudus will play just ahead of them as part of the West Ham attack.
Jarrod Bowen is unlikely to recover in time for this game. However, Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma will be named on the bench.
Attack
Danny Ings will spearhead West Ham’s attack once again in the injury absence of Michail Antonio. He has to find a way to cause a few problems for the opposition centre-backs in this midweek clash on the road.
