Liverpool faced off against Toulouse at the Stadium de Toulouse earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Reds made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 36th minute when Aron Donnum found the back of the net. Jurgen Klopp‘s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Thijs Dallinga doubled the home side’s advantage in the 58th minute. However, Liverpool found a lifeline as Cristian Casseres Jr. scored an unfortunate own goal in the 73rd minute. Just three minutes later, Frank Magri found the back of the net which put Toulouse 3-1 up on the night. Diogo Jota scored a late goal before Jarell Quansah had a goal denied by VAR. The contest ended with Liverpool suffering a lackluster 3-2 loss away from home.
