Manchester United will clash heads with Copenhagen at Parken this Wednesday night as they try to secure a victory on the road in the UEFA Champions League. The Red Devils managed to earn a narrow 1-0 win away at Fulham recently which should give them some confidence ahead of this European clash.
Erik ten Hag will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Both Marcus Rashford, who is a slight concern ahead of this game, and Raphael Varane will get a chance to impress from the start as ten Hag looks to find the winning formula in midweek.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Copenhagen
Defence
Andre Onana will operate in between the sticks for the Mancunian outfit after keeping a clean sheet last weekend. Raphael Varane will operate alongside Harry Maguire at the heart of Man United’s backline as they look to maintain a solid defensive shape at the back during the game.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will hope to impress as the right-back while Diogo Dalot looks to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be hungry to give a good account of themselves out on the flanks.
Jonny Evans will drop to the bench as he offers cover for the centre-back spots.
Midfield
Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on getting a foothold in the game in the middle of the park.
The gifted trio of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Facundo Pellistri will play just ahead of them as part of ten Hag’s attack. All three of them need to combine with each other well if Man United are to create enough chances to win this contest.
Alejandro Garnacho and Antony will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the charge for Man United on the offensive end of the pitch. He has to figure out a way to cause problems for the Copenhagen defenders during the 90 minutes.
Anthony Martial will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on in the latter stages of the game.
