Ramsdale And White Get 5.5 | Arsenal Players Rated In Poor Loss Vs West Ham United

Arsenal locked horns with West Ham United at the London Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a positive result in the EFL Cup. The Gunners made a poor start to the contest as they conceded the opening goal in the 16th minute when Ben White scored an unfortunate own goal. Mikel Arteta‘s men failed to mount a comeback and went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Mohammed Kudus scored for West Ham again in the 50th minute before Jarrod Bowen put the match to bed just ten minutes later. Martin Odegaard grabbed a late consolation goal as the Gunners ended up crashing to a 3-1 loss at the London Stadium.

GK: Aaron Ramsdale – 5.5/10

The English keeper failed to make a save in the game and conceded three goals tonight.

RB: Ben White – 5.5/10

He scored an unfortunate own goal in the 16th minute and was far from convincing when defending inside his half.

CB: Jakub Kiwior – 6/10

Kiwior did his fair share of defending but it was not enough tonight.

CB: Gabriel – 6/10

The Brazilian defender got stuck in with a couple of tackles but failed to keep the Hammers quiet in the second half.

LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko – 6/10

He looked shaky at the back and lacked ideas in the West Ham half.

CM: Fabio Vieira – 7/10

Vieira made some inviting chances for his teammates and picked up an assist for setting up Odegaard’s late goal.

CM: Jorginho – 6.5/10

The Italian had a few bright moments in the final third but failed to offer adequate protection for his teammates at the back.

CM: Kai Havertz – 6/10

Havertz didn’t hesitate to have a strike at goal but lacked quality in the opponent’s half.

RW: Reiss Nelson – 6.5/10

He caused some problems for the West Ham defenders but there was no goal for him.

ST: Eddie Nketiah – 6/10

Nketiah was quiet for most of the game and was fortunate to last 79 minutes.

LW: Leandro Trossard – 6/10

He made two positive runs with the ball but never looked like he would score.
