In a recent report, Calciomercato revealed that Everton are ready to rival Juventus for Borussia Monchengladbach starlet Winsley Boteli. It has been stated that the Toffees are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Swiss sensation.

Boteli’s Rapid Rise In German Football

Boteli has come through the youth ranks of Borussia Monchengladbach and has done well to establish himself as a key member of their Under-19 team. The gifted centre-forward has banged in 12 goals in 11 matches for the German outfit’s U-19 side across all competitions.

The Swish prospect has caught the eye with his contributions on the offensive end of the field. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth in English football.

The 17-year-old is under contract at the German club until the summer of 2025. Therefore, Everton will have a good chance to sign Boteli on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.

Everton Are Ready To Rival Juventus For Boteli: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Boteli can create a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has proven himself to be a capable finisher in the final third and can even set up the odd chance for his teammates up top.

The Swiss teenager is a good dribbler with the ball as well. Standing at 1.84m, he has got a strong frame and has the ability to be a real nuisance inside the opponent’s penalty box. However, the young centre-forward is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth in senior football.

We can expect Boteli to enhance the quality of Everton‘s academy if Sean Dyche can find a way to snap him up soon. He has got the potential to break out as a first-team starter in the coming seasons. Hence, Dyche would fancy his chances of developing the youth talent and turning him into a future star at Goodison Park.

With all things considered, Boteli is undeniably a prospect to watch out for in the future, so the Toffees should focus on getting a deal done for him this January or at the end of this season.
