Tottenham Hotspur will clash heads with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they look to bounce back with a win on the road in the Premier League. Spurs suffered a 4-1 loss at the hands of Chelsea in the London derby recently, so they would be eager to collect all three points this weekend.
Angelos Postecoglu will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and could be forced to make some changes to his first XI for this game. Eric Dier, Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will play from the start of this clash.
4-3-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup To Face Wolves
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario will function in goal for the North London club after shipping in four goals in his last outing. Eric Dier will operate alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at the centre of Tottenham’s backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Emerson Royal will try to catch the eye as the left-back while Pedro Porro looks to impress on the other flank as the right-back. Both of them would be eager to make a difference for Spurs out in the wide areas.
Micky van de Ven is unlikely to recover in time for this game.
Midfield
Postecoglu could opt for a midfield three of James Maddison, Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if Tottenham are to create enough chances to win this contest.
Oliver Skipp will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Brennan Johnson will keep his spot as the left-winger while Dejan Kulusevski hopes to prove his worth on the right flank. Heung-min Son will lead the line for the London giants in the final third. The South Korea international will have to carry most of the goal-scoring workload for his team up top.
Richarlison will have to be content with a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages if Spurs are in need of a goal by then.
