Manchester United will entertain Luton Town at Old Trafford this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils suffered a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Copenhagen in midweek, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways versus Luton.
Erik ten Hag will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one tweak to his first XI for this game. Antony is expected to play from the start while Alejandro Garnacho drops to the bench.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Luton Town
Defence
Andre Onana will play in between the sticks for the Mancunian club after shipping in four goals in his last appearance. Harry Maguire will function alongside Jonny Evans at the heart of ten Hag’s defence as they look to keep things tidy at the back during the 90 minutes.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be a nailed-on starter as the right-back while Diogo Dalot hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be instructed to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Victor Lindelof will provide cover for the centre-back spots on the bench.
Midfield
Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen will anchor the midfield for Man United as they focus on establishing their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. The talented trio of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Antony will operate just ahead of them as part of Man United’s attack.
Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat will be named on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if ten Hag opts to call upon their services.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line for the Red Devils in the final third. The Danish striker managed to score a brace against Copenhagen which should keep him in high spirits ahead of this game.
Anthony Martial will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on in the final quarter of the game if Man United are in need of a goal by then.
