Manchester United will entertain FC Copenhagen at Old Trafford this Tuesday as they look to secure a win in the UEFA Champions League. The Red Devils secured a 2-1 win over Sheffield United recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Erik ten Hag will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could make a couple of tweaks to his first XI for this game. Both Raphael Varane and Christian Eriksen are expected to play from the start of this clash versus Copenhagen.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face FC Copenhagen
Defence
Andre Onana will operate in goal for the Mancunian club after conceding one goal in his last appearance. Raphael Varane will function alongside Harry Maguire at the heart of Man United’s backline as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the game.
Diogo Dalot will try to put in another good performance as the right-back while Sergio Reguilon looks to catch the eye as the left-back. Ten Hag will allow both of his full-backs to get forward and express themselves in the opposition half.
Victor Lindelof will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Sofyan Amrabat and Christian Eriksen will anchor the midfield for Man United as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Antony will play just ahead of them as part of ten Hag’s attack. Fernandes will carry most of the creative burden for the home team in the final third.
Scott McTominay will have to settle for a spot on the bench despite scoring against Sheffield United recently.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line for the Red Devils up top. He failed to register a goal in his last outing and would be eager to impress in this midweek showdown in the Champions League.
Anthony Martial will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Man United are in need of a goal by then.
