Manchester United will welcome Galatasaray at Old Trafford this Wednesday night as they try to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Red Devils suffered a 1-0 loss against Crystal Palace recently which has drained their confidence ahead of this clash in Europe.
Erik ten Hag will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his first XI for this game. Sergio Reguilon will get a chance to impress from the start while Facundo Pellistri drops to the bench.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Galatasaray
Defence
Andre Onana will function in goal for the Mancunian club after shipping in one goal in his last outing. Raphael Varane will resume his defensive partnership with Victor Lindelof at the heart of Man United’s backline as they try to keep the Galatasaray attackers at bay throughout the 90 minutes.
Diogo Dalot will feature as the right-back while Sergio Reguilon hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Ten Hag will ask both of them to keep things solid defensively and offer some decent service from the wide areas.
Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans will be named on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Sofyan Amrabat and Casemiro will anchor the midfield for Man United as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount will function just ahead of them as part of ten Hag’s attack. Both Fernandes and Mount need to figure out a way to create a few inviting chances for their teammates to score.
Christian Eriksen and Facundo Pellistri will be named on ten Hag’s bench.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line for the Red Devils on the attacking end of the field. He failed to register a goal last weekend and would be desperate to make a difference for Man United in this Champions League clash at Old Trafford.
Anthony Martial will be available for selection on the bench.
