Manchester City faced off against Young Boys at the Wankdorf Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure all three points on the road in the UEFA Champions League. Pep Guardiola‘s men were solid in the first half but were held to a scoreless draw at half-time.
Manuel Akanji gave Man City the lead in the 48th minute which was canceled out by Meschak Elia’s effort just four minutes later. Erling Haaland fired his team ahead in the 67th minute when he scored from the penalty spot. The Norway international found the back of the net once again in the 86th minute which put the match to bed. The contest finished with Man City earning an impressive 3-1 win away from home.

The Brazilian keeper made a few solid saves at the back but won’t be happy about conceding early in the second half.

He put his foot through the ball when needed and was accurate with his passing.

He caught the eye at times but failed to make a difference in the final third.

The Spaniard offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and even managed to bag an assist.

He made a lot of dangerous runs with the ball but failed to find the back of the net.
CM: Matheus Nunes – 7.5/10
Nunes linked up play well with others around him and made some clever runs with the ball.
CM: Mateo Kovacic – 7/10
He anchored the midfield well and made one key chance going forward.
LW: Jack Grealish – 7.5/10
Grealish was a constant menace in the final third but has got nothing to show for his efforts.
ST: Erling Haaland – 8.5/10
Haaland caused all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders and scored two goals in the second half which made a difference for his team.
