In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid have been offered a chance to land Manchester United striker Anthony Martial. It has been stated that Los Blancos have been given a chance to sign the French forward for just €15m this month.
Martial’s Up And Down Season In The Premier League
Martial had an inconsistent campaign at Old Trafford recently but managed to put in some impressive displays in the final third. The France international scored nine goals and earned three assists in 29 matches for the Red Devils last season on all fronts.
The 27-year-old caught the eye at times by averaging 1.3 shots, 0.6 key passes and 0.7 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He even took care of the ball when distributing possession in the opponent’s half, based on his pass success rate of 81.6% in league football (stats via whoscored).
Martial is under contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2024. Thus, Los Blancos could land him on a cut-price deal if they decide to go for him this month.
Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Move In For Martial?
Martial can create some space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. He can even make some good runs with the ball when he is playing well on the field.
However, the Frenchman has struggled to find consistency during his time at Man United. Hence, it is no surprise that Los Blancos are being offered a chance to sign him on the cheap before the end of this transfer window.
At the moment, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is in dire need of adding more quality to his first XI. Hence, Martial could be a good, short-term option for the Madrid outfit as he will bring some healthy competition for Joselu for a regular starting spot at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium this season. All in all, Ancelotti should move in for the French attacker as long as he can get him for a reduced fee this month.
