Liverpool locked horns with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a decent start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 18th minute when Luis Diaz found the back of the net with a good finish. However, Jurgen Klopp‘s men conceded the equaliser in the 37th minute when Axel Disasi scored from close range. Both sides went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.

The Merseyside club ran out of ideas in the second half and had to settle for a 1-1 draw in the English capital.

Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player performed during the match against the Blues.

GK: Alisson Becker – 7.5/10

The Brazilian keeper made a few world-class saves at the back and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6.5/10

He performed his defensive duties well but lacked quality in the opponent’s half.

CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7/10

Konate defended his penalty box with conviction and kept Nicolas Jackson frustrated for most of the game.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7/10

The Dutch defender made a lot of crucial clearances at the back and was accurate with his passing.

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 6.5/10

He made a few decent chances for others around him but lacked quality in front of the opponent’s goal.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 7/10

Mac Allister had a good game in the first half but was average at best in the second.

CM: Cody Gakpo – 6.5/10

He had a couple of bright moments in the game and came back to defend when needed.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 7/10

Salah set up Diaz’s goal with an excellent pass and also had a goal chalked off as off-side. However, he struggled to get into the flow of the game after the half-time break.

ST: Diogo Jota – 6.5/10

He worked hard in chasing down the opposition but never looked like he would score.

LW: Luis Diaz – 7.5/10

Diaz caused a lot of problems for the Chelsea defenders and scored Liverpool’s only goal with a decent finish.

Substitutes:

ST: Darwin Nunez – 6/10

He made two good runs with the ball.

CM: Curtis Jones – 6/10

Jones made one driving run with the ball.

CM: Harvey Elliott – 6.5/10
