Real Madrid have confirmed on their official website that Rafa Marin has sealed a loan move to Deportivo Alaves this summer. It was revealed that the Spanish starlet will leave the Madrid club to join Alves until June 30, 2024.

Marin’s Decent Rise At The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

The talented defender is a product of Real Madrid’s youth system but is still waiting to represent the senior team. However, Marin has done well to prove his worth as a useful member of the Madrid club’s B side recently.

The Spanish whizkid has participated in 68 matches for Real Madrid Castilla thus far, finding the back of the net on three occasions and securing one assist in various competitions.

The lack of first-team action has halted his growth at the Madrid club. Thus, it is only logical for Los Blancos to let him leave on loan in this off-season.

Real Madrid Starlet Rafa Marin Has Sealed A Loan Move To Alaves: Good Move For Everyone Involved?

Marin is a tough-tackling centre-half who can read the danger well to secure the ball back for his side on the defensive end of the field. He doesn’t hesitate to clear the danger when the opposition are on the front foot and can use his robust 1.91m frame to dominate the opposition attackers and win his fair share of 50-50 aerial duels inside his half.

The Brazilian talent can play his way out from the back but is still unproven at the highest level. He is primarily a central defender but can also fill in as a left-back if needed. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to establish himself as a regular feature in top-flight football.

At 21, the future looks quite promising for Marin. Hence, Los Blancos have made the right decision by sending the Spaniard out on loan so that he can come back next year as a better version of himself.

Marin can also benefit from a loan spell at Alaves where he will have a good chance of securing a regular starting spot in La Liga. Hence, the Spaniard’s loan exit seems like a good move for both the player and the Madrid club.
