In a recent report, AS mentioned that Real Madrid starlet Rafa Marin is on the radar of Real Betis. It has been stated that Betis are currently the frontrunners to recruit the Spanish talent from Los Blancos during this summer transfer window.

Marin’s Impressive Rise In Spanish Football

Marin enjoyed a decent campaign with Real Madrid’s B team as he put in a series of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the pitch. The 21-year-old had made a total of 68 appearances for Real Madrid Castilla so far, scoring three times and earning one assist on all fronts.

The Guadajoz-born talent has caught the eye with his performances on the defensive end of the field but is still waiting to make a senior appearance for the Madrid club.

His current deal with Los Blancos will run out at the end of next season. Thus, it is only logical for Carlo Ancelotti to cash in on him this summer or else risk losing him on a free transfer next year.

Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Let Rafa Marin Go This Summer?

Marin is a solid tackler of the ball and can make some important interceptions for his side inside his half. He doesn’t hesitate to put his foot through the ball when needed and is proficient at playing his way out from the back.

The Spanish starlet is primarily a central defender but can also fill in as a left-back if asked to do so. However, he has failed to break into Carlo Ancelotti’s first XI so far.

Therefore, it is only fair to the player if Real Madrid let him go this summer. The gifted youngster is entering the final year of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, so Ancelotti would be wise to cash in on him soon rather than lose him as a free agent next year.

At 21, the future is quite promising for Marin. However, he needs some first-team starts to take his game to the next level which Ancelotti cannot afford to offer him at the moment. Thus, it makes sense for both the player and the Madrid club to part ways with each other this summer.
