In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid are facing stiff competition for Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos will have to rival West Ham United in pursuit of the Nigerian winger in the upcoming transfer window.

Chukwueze’s Impressive Record At Villarreal This Season

Chukwueze has enjoyed a decent campaign with the Yellow Submarine as he has put in a run of eye-catching displays for them on the attacking end of the field. The 24-year-old has managed to score 13 goals and earned 11 assists in 50 matches for Villarreal this season across all fronts.

The Nigerian sensation has been a consistent performer in the final third and deserves a lot of credit for averaging 1.6 shots, 1.2 key passes and 2.3 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even been excellent when distributing possession in the opponent’s half after completing 78.3% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).

Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Move In For Chukwueze?

Chukwueze can use his quickness to cause a lot of problems for his marker out on the flanks. He is a decent dribbler with the ball and has got the vision to create some decent plays for his teammates in the final third.

The Nigerian sensation can strike the ball with power and accuracy from long range and has proven his worth as a consistent performer in front of the opponent’s goal. He is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also play as a left-winger or in the number ten position if asked to do so.

We can expect Chukwueze to bring more pace and goals to Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s frontline. He will be an ideal replacement for Eden Hazard who has struggled to prove his worth during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

At 24, Chukwueze has his best years ahead of him which makes him a great option for Los Blancos to consider during this summer transfer period. He has what it takes to help the Madrid club challenge for plenty of major silverware over the next decade. Thus, Ancelotti would be wise to move in for Chukwueze ahead of the new campaign.
