Manchester United locked horns with Manchester City at Wembley Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn a victory in the FA Cup final. The Red Devils made a horror start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the first minute when Ilkay Gundogan got his name on the scoresheet. However, Bruno Fernandes equalised for Man United from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute as both sides went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.

Gundogan scored again for Man City in the 51st minute. Erik ten Hag’s men failed to mount a comeback and crashed to a narrow 1-0 loss at Wembley.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player fared during the clash against Man City.

GK: David de Gea – 6/10

The Spaniard made a few important saves at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet in both halves.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6/10

He earned the ball back twice but offered very little going forward.

CB: Victor Lindelof – 6/10

Lindelof cleared the danger when required and was a strong presence in the air.

CB: Raphael Varane – 6/10

The French talent was far from convincing when defending inside his half but was a threat at the other end of the pitch.

LB: Luke Shaw – 6.5/10

Shaw won a couple of aerial duels and made two encouraging runs with the ball.

CM: Casemiro – 6.5/10

He made a positive impact in both halves but his efforts were not enough in the end.

CM: Fred – 6.5/10

The Brazilian talent earned the ball back multiple times for his side at the centre of the park.

RW: Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

He worked hard defensively and scored Man United’s only goal from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute.

CAM: Christian Eriksen – 6/10

Eriksen struggled to get into the rhythm of the game and was replaced in the 61st minute.

LW: Jadon Sancho – 6/10

He was quiet for most of the game and was fortunate to last 77 minutes.

ST: Marcus Rashford – 6/10

The English striker had a couple of strikes at goal but never looked like he would score.

Substitutes:

LW: Alejandro Garnacho – 6/10

He had a few bright moments in the game after coming on as a substitute.

ST: Wout Weghorst – 6/10

Weghorst made one key chance in the final third.

CM: Scott McTominay – N/A

He hardly had any time to influence the game.
