In a recent print edition, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Everton are ready to move in for Udinese striker Beto. It is understood that the Toffees are prepared to make another attempt to sign the Portuguese centre-forward this summer.

Beto’s Recent Form At Udinese

Beto is having a decent campaign at the Italian club as he has produced a few fruitful displays for them in the final third. The 25-year-old has banged in ten goals and grabbed two assists in 33 matches for his current employers this season across multiple competitions.

The Portuguese sensation deserves some credit for averaging 1.9 shots, 0.7 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A football. However, he has been far from convincing when distributing the ball in the final third based on his pass success rate of 65.8% in the Italian first division (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at Udinese is set to run out in the summer of 2026. Therefore, the Toffees will find it difficult to get him on board in the upcoming transfer window.

Is Beto A Good Fit For Everton Boss Sean Dyche?

Beto is proficient at generating space for himself to get some shots in on-target. He can be a prolific finisher in front of the opponent’s goal when he is playing at his best. The Lisboa-born talent excels at holding possession up for his teammates on the attacking end of the field but needs to work on improving his link-up play up top.

Still, the Portuguese centre-forward can also engineer a few promising chances for others around him. He can also use his towering 1.94m frame to dominate the opposition defenders in the air.

We can expect Beto to bring more firepower to Everton head coach Sean Dyche‘s attack as long as he can make a smooth transition to life in England. He will also offer some serious competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the Merseyside club in the coming seasons.

At 25, Beto will only get better over the next few years which makes him an ideal choice for the Toffees to consider during this summer transfer window. He might even help the Merseysiders stay out of relegation trouble in the Premier League next season.
