Newcastle United welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion at St. James’ Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Magpies made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 22nd minute when Deniz Undav scored an unfortunate own goal. Dan Burn doubled Newcastle’s advantage in the first half injury-time as Eddie Howe’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.

The Brazilian talent was a positive influence at both ends of the field and has got a goal to show for his efforts.

Joelinton earned the ball back twice and made a couple of decent runs going forward.

He was a constant menace on the right flank and ended the game with an assist to his name.

Wilson caused a lot of headaches for the Brighton defenders and ended the match with a goal and an assist to his name.

He showed some flashes of what he can do in the final third but struggled to finish off his chances.
