Tottenham Hotspur are one of the most famous London clubs in the history of English football. The North London club went through a period of transition after Antonio Conte’s disappointing spell as their head coach in the 2022-23 campaign.

Spurs have won 26 major trophies over the years which includes two league titles, two UEFA Cups, eight FA Cups, and four League Cups among other top honours.

Tottenham won their first league title in the 1950-51 campaign. However, they are still waiting to win their first UEFA Champions League trophy.

The North London giants will now look to end their long wait for the league title when the Premier League gets underway next season.

When Was The Last Time Tottenham Hotspur Won The League Title?

Tottenham Hotspur’s last league triumph came back in the 1960-61 campaign. Spurs managed to finish that season eight points above second-placed, Sheffield Wednesday with a total points tally of 66 in 42 matches.

Chelsea’s Jimmy Greaves finished as the top scorer of the 1960–61 Football League First Division. However, Spurs ended up winning their second first-division title that season and also lifted the FA Cup the same year.

It’s been a long time since Tottenham fans last saw their side become champions of England which the London club would be eager to rectify in the coming seasons. However, it won’t be an easy road for them, following the sacking of Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini.

One thing is for sure. If they do manage to win a title soon, they would definitely come out of Arsenal’s shadow.
