Arsenal are one of the most successful London clubs in English football history as they have won the third-most trophies in the country. The Gunners have lifted the league title 13 times in their history with Mikel Arteta’s men hoping to win it another time at the end of the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.

Before we find out about their last title win, it is important to note that the North London club won their first-ever major trophy in the 1929-30 campaign. They managed to lift the FA Cup in what was a historic achievement for the London club at the time.

The Gunners went on to win their first league title and also tasted their first FA Charity Shield success the following season.

Mikel Arteta is trying to lead Arsenal to another title win in the 2022-23 Premier League campaign which if they do achieve will be their 14th league title in history.

When Was The Last Time Arsenal Was Crowned As The Premier League Champions?

Arsenal was last crowned as the Premier League champions in the 2003-04 season. Arsene Wenger’s legendary ‘Invincibles’ managed to go the whole season without tasting defeat. They were the first club to do so in a 38-match football league season which remains one of the greatest achievements in the history of club football.

Arsenal icon Thierry Henry finished as the top goal-scorer for that campaign as he banged in 30 league goals to help the Gunners clinch their 13th league title win back in 2004.

Arsene Wenger’s players went on a nine-match winning run at one point during that season which gave them the confidence to go on and win the Premier League title.

Arsenal scored 73 goals and conceded just 26 goals during that campaign and had a goal difference of +47. It remains to be seen whether a football club can ever replicate the Gunners’ remarkable feat of finishing the whole campaign unbeaten.
